I've created this activity so that before any discovery, meeting, or kick-off with people you may not know, whether from your company or working as a third party, you can break the ice between them.

  • Help people to reveal themselves by talking about themselves;

  • Ask people to turn on their cameras;

  • Let them speak, but don't let them ramble on;

In dynamic interactions, allowing individuals to speak about themselves serves as a powerful tool for breaking down barriers of shyness and fostering a sense of openness and connection within the group.

By providing individuals with a platform to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, we create an environment where they feel valued, heard, and validated. Moreover, social psychologist Amy Cuddy's research on the concept of "presence" underscores the importance of authentic self-expression in building rapport and fostering trust among individuals.

When people are encouraged to share their authentic selves, it not only enhances their sense of belonging but also cultivates a supportive atmosphere where mutual respect and collaboration thrive.

Thus, by encouraging individuals to speak about themselves in dynamic settings, we not only honor their unique perspectives but also pave the way for deeper connections and meaningful interactions within the group.
