How to use this template

Follow the steps below to get the most of this retro for you and your team.

1. Assess sprint performance

Start by placing a championship trophy on the Laker image that best captures your experience or performance on this sprint. This sets the tone for celebrating achievements and recognizing the team's hard work.

2. Reflect on the sprint based on values and goals

The main part of this retro involves reflecting on a set of questions in the middle of the template to help spark discussion around what went well, areas for improvement, and what start or stop doing in the next sprint.

These questions include:

  • In which areas did our team demonstrate strength and dependability in our "engine" of work?

  • Channeling The King's court vision, how did we anticipate and strategically navigate the play of the game this sprint?

  • Who steered us through rough waters, providing leadership and direction when we needed it most?

  • How did our team's work this sprint represent our core values and identity?

  • Inspired by Kobe's precision and pursuit of excellence, where did we see our most precise and high-quality outputs? What do we want to work on next?

  • Where did we witness magic moments of creativity and flair in our problem-solving and innovation? Where else can we add some magic?

  • What challenges did our team stand tall against, reaching high to achieve our goal?

3. Vote on your MVTs (Most Valuable Tickets)

Add your sprint tickets to the board. Using the uniform icons, dot vote your most valuable tickets and discuss which ticket you chose and why.

4. Rate the retro

Lastly, place a Championship ring on the rating scale to rate the return on time invested (ROTI) for the retro, from G.O.A.T to Bench Warmer. This step provides valuable feedback on the effectiveness of the retrospective process itself.

Use this board to facilitate meaningful discussions, identify actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement within your team to become champions!
