About the Team

Lifecycle Marketing team is part of the overarching Growth Marketing function and partners and collaborates closely with multiple functions across the organization: Brand, Product and Revenue Marketing, Core and Growth Product, Analytics, and Customer Experience. Lifecycle Marketing is influential in defining and driving the user communication strategy and is impacting the business, using a combination of analytical skills, creativity, and customer insight to craft and implement programs that result in measurable adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.

About the Role

As Miro’s Copywriter supporting user engagement motion, you will have the unique opportunity to impact Miro business growth by improving user activation, engagement, product adoption, and retention by co-creating the most engaging and inspirational personalized lifecycle communications and marketing campaigns. You will partner closely with Growth, Product, and Brand Marketing to build user-centric, personalized content and narratives, and drive ongoing experimentation with copy and messaging that will help Miro to grow more successful and engaged users across all plans and key personas.

What you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for writing creative and impactful lifecycle copy: email newsletters, nurtures, transactional notifications, promotional messages, and more.
  • Support Lifecycle Marketing in delivering commitments to drive Activated and Engaged Miro users through messaging and content experiments
  • Own, lead, and drive copy and content-related experiments in collaboration with Lifecycle Marketing Managers and PMMs
  • Partner with Lifecycle Managers on creating new and improving existing emails with dynamic content and content for future localization equity package

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience at a tech company (SAAS a major plus), brand, or agency working on the B2B or B2B2C market
  • Writing impactful copy for digital touchpoints. Experience with writing for lifecycle channels (emails, push notifications, SMS, chatbots, in-app, and more) is a huge plus
  • Experience and proven results in driving business impact through copy and content experimentation and testing
  • Excellent English language writing and editing skills, creative thinking, and storytelling
  • Experience working with translations and localized content, experience writing data-driven dynamic content and UX copy
  • Customer-centricity, ability to understand different user segments, their needs, jobs, and struggles, and write personalized, and converting copy for them
  • Understanding key business drivers and target metrics. Experience in crafting messaging that impacts the business. Ability to drive effective results by taking a test and learn approach — and articulating rationale behind approaches and their impact
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and establish relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to prioritize
  • Growth mindset, tolerance for ambiguity, ability to generate hypotheses, test, learn, and iterate
  • Empathy with readers, customers, and teammates
