About the Role

To deliver on our People Team mission, Miro is looking for a dynamic EMEA People Operations Team Lead in Amsterdam. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of building and leading a top-notch People Operations Team in Europe, dedicated to providing the industry's best service delivery with a focus on care, empathy, and efficiency. Your expertise as the subject matter expert in Europe will be crucial in developing processes and programs that set new standards in service excellence.

Your responsibilities will extend to hands-on involvement in addressing service delivery challenges and continuously refining our operations. A significant part of your role involves managing through coaching and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance overall service delivery.

As a key member of the Global People Operations team and reporting directly to the Head of Global People Operations, your ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various levels of leadership will be essential. Your role is not just about leading a team; it's about being a catalyst for positive change and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the People Operations Team for Miro’s European hubs including Amsterdam, Berlin, Munich, London, and Paris. Foster a culture of care, empathy, and high performance, ensuring our team consistently delivers exceptional service to our fellow Mironeers
  • Spearhead the development of efficient processes and programs tailored to the European context
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across different functions. Work in tandem with them to ensure alignment of People Operations initiatives with overall business goals
  • Partner with People Technology in building the best service delivery in the industry
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying and addressing service delivery gaps. Implement innovative solutions to streamline operations and enhance the quality of services provided to our internal customers
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making processes. Monitor key performance indicators to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure all People Operations activities comply with legal and ethical standards in Europe. Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in People Operations and incorporate them into our strategies

What you’ll need

  • 6+ years of experience in People Operations or People Service Delivery 
  • 2+ years leading and managing a team
  • Experience in Workday and ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow) 
  • Capable of balancing strategic planning with efficient execution
  • Proficiency in Dutch and other European languages (French/German) is highly desirable
  • Comprehensive understanding of the labor laws and regulations in The Netherlands 
  • A baseline understanding of labor laws in the UK, France, and Germany is preferred
  • Previous experience working for a global company is highly desirable
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of cultural differences and the ability to navigate these in a business context
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work evenings at least 2x week for collaboration with the US
