Web Design Lead
Department: Marketing
Locations: London
About the team
About the Role
Miro is a category leader and our web presence needs to reflect that. We're looking for a Web Design Lead who understands that our digital properties should be as engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing as the product itself—clean aesthetic, sharp taste, meticulous craft.
This isn't a typical web role. We need someone who treats Miro.com as a living expression of our product value, constantly evolving it with bold creative thinking and hands-on execution.
You'll own the evolution of Miro's web experience, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution. This means partnering with Creative, Product Marketing, and Growth teams to concept, design, and ship web experiences that don't just look beautiful—they set new standards and perform. Think clean, confident, design-forward work that makes people want to engage and explore.
What you’ll do
Shape Our Digital Presence
- Drive the creative vision and execution of Miro.com, campaign landing pages, and key digital properties
- Translate marketing strategies and product launches into compelling web experiences that convert
- Set the bar for web design excellence across the organization, both in aesthetics and performance
Design & Build
- Strong foundation in UX design principles, user flows, and interaction design
- Looking for a roll-up-your-sleeves designer: creating everything from initial concepts to production-ready designs
- Collaborate directly with engineering and work in our no-code platform (Framer) to bring designs to life
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on new page concepts, modules, and interactive elements
- Own the end-to-end process from concept to launch, moving at startup speed
- Partner with marketing to concept and refine website copy—headlines, product narratives, CTAs
- Understand that great web design isn't just visual; the words matter as much as the layout
- Push for sharp, clear, confident copy that matches the visual ambition of the work
Elevate the Craft
- Enhancing and maintaining our web design system, ensuring consistency without sacrificing creativity
- Stay ahead of digital design trends and push the boundaries of what's possible on the web
- Balance bold, distinctive creative with usability and conversion optimisation
- Champion best practices in web typography, layout, motion, and interaction design
Partner Strategically
- Work closely with the Head of Creative to align web experiences with broader brand initiatives
- Work as part of a EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) team, collaborating closely with Web Product and Engineering to ensure seamless execution from concept to execution
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to translate product stories into intuitive web narratives
- Partner with Growth and Analytics teams to continuously optimise for impact
- Present work and rationale to senior leadership with clarity and confidence
What you’ll need
- Professional experience in web design, digital design, or related field; or portfolio that reflects world-class work
- Expert-level proficiency in Framer, Figma, and modern design tools
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an EPD model, including marketing, product, engineering, and UX design
- Proven ability to work within product development processes and contribute to product thinking, not just marketing execution
- Hands-on experience with no-code platforms (Framer, Webflow, or similar) AND CMS platforms (Contentful, WordPress, or similar)
- Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated, design-forward web work with measurable business impact
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and shipping work consistently and timely
- Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to articulate decisions to senior leadership
What's in it for you
- Competitive equity package
- Health insurance for you and your family
- Corporate pension plan
- Lunch, snacks and drinks provided in the office
- Wellbeing benefit and WFH equipment allowance
- Annual learning and development allowance to grow your skills and career
- Opportunity to work for a globally diverse team
