About the Role

Are you passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment? We’re looking for a talented People Operations Specialist to join our team in Austin, Texas. 
 
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for employee support in the US, ensuring the smooth execution of People processes while maintaining data integrity and compliance. Reporting to the US People Operations Team Lead, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence the success of our People Operations function, contributing to our company’s growth and an engaged workforce.

What you’ll do

  • Frontline People Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, demonstrating empathy and accountability. Provide timely and accurate responses to questions related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring a positive employee experience
  • Process and Program Coordination: Efficiently coordinate and execute key People processes and programs. This includes managing onboarding for new hires, facilitating job changes, and overseeing the termination process. Ensure all activities are conducted smoothly and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • HR Data and Record Management: Responsible for the accurate maintenance of HR profiles, data, and other recordkeeping systems. Ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidentially managed, adhering to data protection regulations
  • Payroll Collaboration: Work closely with the Payroll Team to manage employee pay changes, commissions, and bonuses. Ensure all payroll-related modifications are accurately recorded and communicated promptly
  • Benefits Administration Assistance: Provide support in the administration of employee benefits programs. Assist employees in understanding their benefits, and help resolve any benefits-related issues or queries
  • People Program Support: Support the administration of various People programs, including but not limited to, performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives. Contribute to the development and improvement of these programs to align with organizational goals and employee needs
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek ways to improve People processes and practices. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the People Operations function
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all People Operations activities comply with legal and organizational standards. Stay informed about HR best practices and emerging trends to continuously elevate the quality of HR services provided

What you’ll need

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an HR-related role (coordinator, specialist generalist)
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and laws
  • Experience in HRIS (Workday is a plus!) and ticketing systems (e.g. Jira)
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solver 
  • Desire to learn and affinity for process improvement and optimization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
