The Security Stream operates within a structured framework, comprising several specialized teams, each playing a vital role in upholding our industry-leading security standards. These teams include the Cloud Security Detection and Response, Application Security as well as Trust and Information Security. All these teams work cohesively to provide a holistic security approach.

About the Role

We are looking for a Threat Detection and Response lead to join our team, reporting to the Head of Product Security, and collaborating with Miro's Security teams. Your engineering and security response skills, combined with a passion for security, will shape our Threat Detection and response capabilities. Cloud infrastructure expertise is essential, given Miro's 100% cloud-based presence, and SaaS industry experience is a strong plus.

As the lead of the Threat Detection and Response Team, you will be responsible for  leading and managing a team of skilled Threat Detection and Response professionals. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute strategies for detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents effectively.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of Threat Detection and Response engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Lead and develop initiatives that improve capabilities to effectively detect, respond and remediate security incidents
  • Build automation for detection and response processes
  • Maintain and evolve the incident response plan, including procedures, documentation, and response playbooks
  • Oversee the monitoring of security alerts and incidents, ensuring rapid detection and driving incident response to threats from a variety of sources (Workstation, Cloud, SaaS,etc)
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, Privacy and communications, to manage and mitigate incidents
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement
  • Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices, adjusting incident response strategies accordingly

What you’ll need

  • Extensive experience in Security Incident Response and Detection & Response Engineering
  • Experience investigating and responding to external and insider threats
  • Experience leading teams and building capabilities for Threat Detection and response
  • Experience in Cloud native environment (AWS)
