SMB Account Executive

Department: Sales

Locations: Austin

Job Requisition ID: JR002005

About the Team

The SMB team is where Miro’s growth story accelerates. We partner with small and scaling businesses — companies between 1 and 500 employees — helping them move faster, collaborate more effectively, and streamline the way they build and ship products. This is a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment where momentum matters. You’ll manage a broad book of business, run short sales cycles, and work directly with decision-makers to uncover pain points across product development, collaboration, and team workflows. You’ll work alongside a tight-knit group of high-performing Account Executives, as well as cross-functional partners across Marketing, Customer Success, and Renewals to support customers from first conversation through long-term growth.

About the Role

Miro is growing fast — and so is the universe of smaller businesses that want to get there too. The SMB AE is on the front line of that: you’re responsible for running the full sales cycle from first conversation to closed deal across a high-volume book of prospects and accounts. You’ll connect discovery to value, build a disciplined pipeline rhythm, and own a hybrid new-logo and expansion motion across the 1–500 employee segment.

What you’ll do

  • Prospect and Generate Leads: Actively identify and qualify high-potential startup accounts within key global startup hubs (San Francisco, New York, and Austin).
  • Build Relationships: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within target startup organizations, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Conduct Engaging Product Demonstrations: Showcase the power and versatility of Miro through compelling and tailored presentations that resonate with the fast-paced environment of startups.
  • Manage and Close Sales Cycles: Effectively manage the entire sales process, from initial outreach to negotiation and deal closure, consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Drive Customer Success: Serve as a trusted advisor to new startup customers, ensuring a smooth onboarding process, driving adoption, and proactively identifying opportunities for growth and expansion within their organizations.
  • Become a Startup Community Champion: Actively participate in the startup community through networking events, industry gatherings, and online forums, building Miro's presence and reputation.
  • Provide Valuable Feedback: Share insights gained from working with startups with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to help Miro better serve this critical segment.

What you’ll need

1–4 years in a SaaS or B2B tech sales environment, including at least some full-cycle closing experience or a strong SDR background.

Working knowledge of MEDDPICC and Command of the Message — applied consistently with a drive to sharpen both.

Proficiency with Salesforce for pipeline management, plus Outreach (or similar) and Gong.

A high-velocity mindset — comfortable running many deals simultaneously with limited oversight.

Strong prioritisation and adaptability — able to balance inbound demand, outbound prospecting, and expansion opportunities effectively.

Resilience and coachability — you treat lost deals as learning and apply feedback fast.

AI fluency and curiosity — comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve prospect research, outreach preparation, productivity, and day-to-day execution.
