AI Integrations Engineer
Department: IT
Locations: Austin
Job Requisition ID: JR001916
At Miro, our Business Technology (BizTech) team is the engine that keeps our internal operations running smoothly and scaling rapidly. We are looking for an AI Integrations Engineer to be the connective tissue between our core business systems across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and beyond.
You will operate directly on the front lines with our business teams, embedding yourself within their workflows to deeply understand their day-to-day challenges. We need a proactive problem-solver who operates with a "go figure it out" mentality—someone who isn’t afraid to experiment, architect innovative improvements, and see them through to delivery.
If you are an AI-first thinker who loves building cutting-edge agentic workflows, leveraging iPaaS platforms, and developing custom microservices to create a seamless operational ecosystem, we want you on our team.
What you’ll do
- Partner Directly with the Business: Meet regularly with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other departments to map their workflows, identify bottlenecks, and proactively pitch and build technical solutions.
- Pioneer AI & Agentic Workflows: Build Model Context Protocols (MCPs) and design agentic solutions that equip our business teams with autonomous, AI-driven capabilities tailored to their specific data.
- Build & Scale Integrations: Design and maintain robust integrations between core enterprise systems to ensure secure, real-time data flow and process automation.
- Develop Custom Microservices: Write, deploy, and maintain scalable microservices to handle complex routing, data transformation, and custom logic that goes beyond standard iPaaS capabilities.
- Drive an AI-First Culture: Constantly ask, "How can this be simplified or accelerated using AI?" You will leverage modern AI developer tools (like Cursor, Claude Code, and Cowork) to ship code faster and build smarter automations.
- Own the End-to-End Lifecycle: Take full ownership of your projects—from initial scoping and system design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous iteration.
What you’ll need
- 3-5 years of experience in production automations and enterprise Saas integrations
- Integration & Middleware Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience building complex automations on Workato — including recipe logic, custom connectors, and Workato's agentic capabilities (e.g., Workato Genie, Agentic Studio). Experience with other platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar) is a plus.
- Enterprise System Fluency: Deep, hands-on experience integrating with and navigating the APIs of major SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Marketo, and Jira.
- Software Engineering Foundation: Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying scalable microservices preferrably using java — comfortable owning the full lifecycle from design to production.
- Core Systems Architecture Skills: Solid understanding of API design (REST, GraphQL), modern authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys), data modeling, and event-driven architectures (webhooks, pub/sub messaging). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and secure credential management for integrations.
- AI Tooling & Agentic Experience: You actively use AI-assisted development tools to multiply your productivity and have practical experience (or a strong foundational understanding) of building LLM-driven agents and MCPs.
- Consultative Mindset: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical leaders.
- Reliability & Observability Mindset: Experience monitoring integration health, setting up alerting, and ensuring production pipelines are auditable and recoverable — not just built and shipped.
- The "Go Figure It Out" Attitude: A high degree of autonomy, a willingness to experiment with new technologies, and a relentless drive to find the best possible solution to ambiguous problems.
