About the Team
The Website & Email Team is the core engineering group managing Miro’s public-facing digital platform. The Email Engineering function is essential to supporting Miro email template production, localization, and optimization at scale. You will work within the engineering team while serving as the technical partner to Miro Lifecycle, Messaging, and Product teams.
About the Role
The Email Engineer acts as a subject matter expert to support email production at Miro. This role is responsible for ensuring the technical stability, scalability, and quality of all automated and transactional email streams. You will manage high-volume campaign execution, complex technical projects, and global localization processes.
What you’ll do
- Create and code: work with an Email Design System to build responsive HTML email templates for campaigns.
- Ensure consistency and quality: Test and ensure emails render correctly across different email clients and devices, including mobile.
- Collaborate: Work with marketing, design, and product teams to implement email campaigns and strategies.
- Optimize performance: Use A/B testing and analytics to improve engagement metrics like click-through rates.
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose and fix any issues with email rendering or functionality.
- Email localization: Support marketing, product, and localization teams to ensure consistent and timely localization of email templates
What you’ll need
- Email Development: Strong proficiency in responsive HTML, CSS, and email-specific templating languages, like Liquid or AMPscript, used for dynamic and personalized content.
- Platform Experience: Direct, hands-on experience with an enterprise-level Email Service Provider (ESP), preferably Braze, including API integration, segmentation, and campaign setup.
- Tooling: Familiarity with email design platforms like Taxi for Email and Litmus
- Soft Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with non-technical marketing and product stakeholders, translating business goals into robust technical solutions.
