Senior Backend Engineer (Authorization)

The Authorization team will create an Authorization service as part of our technical strategy to move from a monolith to Service Oriented Architecture. This team will be involved in delivering a crucial component in our new architecture. Authorization will be a critical high-load service for the whole Miro ecosystem.  

You will help us build this service by adapting the open source OPA solution, which has become a standard in the security domain, to the unique Miro challenges of a real-time whiteboard collaboration platform - i.e. extremely low latency.

What you’ll do

• Develop the Authorisation service
• Contribute as a hands-on developer and help the team design business-critical systems
• Help other teams to adapt to the new authorization approach

What you’ll need

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in senior role
• Experience building, launching and running critical, high-performance, distributed, fault tolerant systems
• Experience with configuring infrastructure SOA
• Strong background in Java/Kotlin/Go
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes
