About the Team

Our Foundations & Network team is currently based in Amsterdam, NL. We are in the process of rapidly growing our team, which will solely focus on providing stable, reliable, and highly-available solutions in the cloud.

Our team owns clouds services at Miro, specially AWS and is responsible for all Infrastructure-as-Code aspects and provides workflows to orchestrate automated solutions. It is also responsible for applying Governance policies and administration of our infrastructure resources on AWS as well as all aspects of Networking.

To support the growing demand for feature releases we are scaling the current team and looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer Engineer who will be responsible for managing our AWS accounts with a focus on Governance, using concepts like IAM, SCP and on top of that be responsible for Cloud Automation and delivery of Infrastructure-as-Code, in addition to working on stability, reliability and availability of our production environment.

What you’ll do

  • Build and lead all aspects of our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) and provide automated solutions for IaC deployment;
  • Work in the team that owns our AWS infrastructure at Miro to continuously improve how we operate;
  • Develop and build Governance policies for our Cloud infrastructure;
  • Implement automation and observability across infrastructure resources;
  • Bring your own ideas for improving our infrastructure stack and implement them;
  • Take part in our operational rotation to react and resolve incidents in production;
  • Maintain and develop the building blocks of our IaC terraform codebase;
  • Responsible for building, maintaining and optimizing Amazon Load Balancers, ensuring efficient traffic distribution and high availability for applications;
  • Configure and maintain Amazon CloudFront distributions to accelerate content delivery and improve end-user experience;
  • Improve and maintain our Network infrastructure

What you’ll need

  • 6+ years as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Software Development Engineer, or related role;
  • 4+ years of experience and strong knowledge on AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, LBs, CDN, S3, Route53, K8s);
  • Strong experience with Governance solutions and policies (SCP, IAM and Tower Org) on AWS;
  • Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery using Agile methodologies;
  • Linux is your favorite operating system;
  • Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS);
  • Strong experience in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform;
  • Experience developing automated workflows for continuous delivery and integration;
  • Proficient in at least one high-level programming language such as Python or shell scripting (BASH);
  • Familiar with containers and Kubernetes;
  • Good communication skills
