Miro MCP for Devin

Miro MCP for Devin

With Miro MCP for Devin, Miro becomes the visual layer for agentic workflows in Devin. PRDs, diagrams, and decisions on a Miro board flow directly into the agent so code is generated and reviewed against your real architecture and requirements—not generic patterns. In the other direction, Devin can turn code or repo structure into up-to-date system diagrams or docs on Miro, keeping product and engineering in sync without manual handoffs.

Now you and your teams can go from:

  • Miro Board → Devin Code Session: Point Devin to a Miro board with specs, system maps, and standards so it grounds generation and refactors in the same artifacts your team already aligned on; fewer misinterpretations and faster starts.
  • Code/Repo → Context on Miro: Ask Devin to analyze a codebase (or Git URL) and draft an architecture diagram, document, or table onto a target Miro board so onboarding and design reviews start from a shared visual truth.
  • Mixed Research → Concise Brief/Diagram: Have Devin summarize a busy planning board (stickies, images, docs) and draft a concise doc or diagram back onto the board to accelerate planning-to-build handoff.

By installing this, you connect Miro's MCP Server with Devin's MCP Client. This will allow Devin to read board content from the URL you provide and use it as context.

Set up

Important: If you are on an Enterprise plan, you will need to ask your Admin to enable MCP. See the Admin Guide.

First, configure in Devin:
In Devin, add the Miro MCP Server as an MCP connection (HTTP transport) and set the server URL to: https://mcp.miro.com/. If Devin supports manual MCP JSON config, use an entry equivalent to:

{ "mcpServers": { "miro-mcp": { "url": "https://mcp.miro.com/", "disabled": false, "autoApprove": [] } } }

Then, authenticate with Miro OAuth:

  • You will be redirected to authenticate with Miro OAuth
  • Select the Miro team you wish to connect to
(important: MCP will only be able to read the boards in the team you choose in this flow)
  • Once you've successfully completed this flow, you are ready to go
  • You can verify by checking your Miro MCP Server status is "Running" in Devin.
  • Give it a try - Paste a Miro board URL into Devin and ask it to "generate an architecture diagram on this board from the repo," or "scaffold endpoints based on this PRD."
  • If something isn't working, check this help article, or open a ticket with our support team.

Tips:
Enterprise orgs often require admin enablement of Miro MCP; verify it's enabled if the OAuth step doesn't appear. Some MCP tools may use Miro AI features and can consume your organization's AI credits.
Please note that Miro AI must be enabled to use the board summary function and Miro AI credits will be consumed for this feature.

Security & Compliance:
OAuth 2.1 authentication with individual user credentials
All existing Miro permissions and access controls maintained
Enterprise-grade security standards: enterprise admins can enable or disable MCP for entire organizations or specific teams, providing granular control over data access and usage.
