FAQ

  • Starting October 1, 2024, you will no longer be able to create a new Jamboard or edit existing Jams on any platform. On December 31, 2024, you will no longer be able to access your Jamboard files and they will be deleted. Google Workspace recommends seeking out a Jamboard alternative prior to these dates.

  • Following Google’s announcement, users are encouraged to explore alternatives to Jamboard, including Miro, that provide similar capabilities. You can find guidance on how to migrate from Jamboard to Miro in Miro’s Help Center.

  • Teams will be able to create a new Jamboard through October 2024. Once the creation of a new Jamboard is no longer an option, Google recommends several tools, including Miro, that can serve as effective substitutes.

  • If you're contemplating Miro as a Jamboard replacement, and have an existing Miro account, you can migrate your existing Jamboard files in a few different ways. Currently, teams can migrate Jamboard content into PDF files to Miro. In 2024, it will be possible to migrate Jamboard content into editable files in Miro for seamless transition into Miro’s advanced collaborative features.
