Lean Coffee Table

Report

I took inspiration from the beloved Lean Coffee Table method (https://www.leancoffeetable.com/) and made my own, simple Lean Coffee Table (LCT) board.

LCT is a popular method.

  • Participants add topics to the first frame, and vote which topics they'd like to discuss

    • Voting is accomplished with reactions! 😊

  • Facilitators start the meeting by moving the topic with most votes into the frame in the middle, and they keep track of the time: 8 minutes per topic on average

  • At the end of the 8 minutes, Participants can vote to:

    • continue the discussion on the current topic

    • move onto the next topic

    • neutral vote

  • At the end of voting, the conversation continues with the same topic or a new one, for another round

    • 8 minutes on average for a new topic

    • 5 minutes of time extension if the same topic was voted, at the end of which the voting takes place again

  • Once the Participants vote for changing topic, the Facilitators move the topic card into the last frame

Simple, yet effective!

Enjoy your ☕ coffee meet-up's!

Note from the author: LCT is very popular. I might have to save up space for other boards on Miro on my free account.
