About the Team
This is a newly formed team spearheaded in London. The role has a global reach, providing leadership and oversight across multiple time zones, including the US and Yerevan. The team’s primary mandate is to transform the employee technology experience, shifting from traditional IT support to a modern, automated, and security-first engineering discipline. The Lead will establish the foundation, recruit top talent, and drive a culture of continuous improvement through AI, deep automation, and integration.
About the Role
This is a critical leadership position to spearhead the creation and development of a new End User Engineering (EUE) team in London. The primary mandate is to transform the employee technology experience from traditional IT support to a modern, automated, and security-first engineering discipline.
What you’ll do
- Establish and Lead the Global End User Engineering (EUE) Team: Define the organizational structure, actively recruit and mentor the founding team, and establish a high-performance, engineering-led culture. Successfully manage the technical team across multiple time zones (US and Yerevan)
- Drive Deep Automation and AI Integration: Champion the strategy for intelligent automation to eliminate toil and reduce MTTR. Proactively explore and implement AI/ML solutions for intelligent service routing and predictive issue detection
- Engineer and Integrate Enterprise Workflows: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable integrations between core enterprise applications (identity, HRIS, collaboration, service tools) to create seamless, automated employee experiences
- Own Core SaaS Application Enhancement: Take engineering ownership of, and strategically enhance, critical enterprise SaaS applications, including Slack, G-Suite, Jira, JAMF, and Glean, ensuring high reliability
- Execute the Strategic Technical Roadmap: Develop and execute the long-term vision and technical roadmap for EUE, integrating agile engineering methodologies like CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code principles
- Ensure Security and Compliance Posture: Work in close collaboration with Corporate Security (CorpSec) to define and enforce robust system security standards across all managed applications and devices. Partner with the Privacy team on compliance and execute regular security and compliance audits
What you’ll need
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or End User Services, with a minimum of 2 years in a Team Lead or Managerial capacity building technical teams
- Proven experience successfully leading and managing geographically or time-zone distributed technical teams (e.g., US, Europe, Yerevan)
- Strong hands-on engineering experience with the core technology stack including Slack, G-Suite, Jira, JAMF, and similar collaboration/device management applications
- Demonstrable experience successfully delivering and maintaining automation platforms, workflows, and integrations using technologies like Python, JavaScript, or dedicated iPaaS solutions
- Strong working knowledge of IT security principles, access control models, and experience collaborating with security teams on compliance and audit remediation
- Acumen for building an engineering-led culture focused on scalability, continuous improvement, and integrating agile methodologies (like CI/CD/IaC)
