About the team

You will join a highly motivated and collaborative global Employee Relations and Performance Management team who build and drive Miro’s philosophy, guidelines and practices for handling all employee-related matters and performance management. 

About the role

As Miro continues to evolve as an organisation, we are growing our Employee Relations and Performance Management team. You will help guide the ER function in the Netherlands and UK which includes crafting and driving frameworks, guidelines, practices and initiatives that ensure trusting and productive relationships, strong performance management and accountability aligned with our culture and values at an organization, team and individual level.

What you’ll do

  • Coach, guide and advise all levels of management through employee relations and performance management related matters 
  • Builds and maintains strong, trust based relationships at all levels of the business and collaborates with PBPs, Legal, COEs and Work Councils 
  • Guide managers in the interpretation and application of employment laws and regulations and HR related practices and policies 
  • Be the first point of contact for ER-related cases, queries and issues, such as disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance etc., providing appropriate and timely guidance and advice. 
  • Handle issues related to external dependences, bodies and vendors (record management, disability management, unemployment, labor and government bodies).
  • Conducts investigations in response to a range of employee relations concerns including harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other violations. 
  • Ensures cases are handled fairly, consistently, transparently and in a timely manner in line with our culture, policies and local law
  • Makes recommendations on appropriate courses of actions matching investigations strategy to complexity, risk, sensitivity and confidentiality 
  • Maintains an organised case management system including the ability to run analytics, metrics and produce data visualisations
  • Proactively find opportunities to enhance the employee experience and help create and implement innovative solutions

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years experience in ER, HR or related Legal experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of NL employment law, it’s interpretation and application of employment practices. UK experience is a plus.
  • Experience using effective listening and investigatory skills to handle complex, sensitive conversations with discretion, composure and compassion
  • Experience improving and designing HR related processes and policies
  • Experience working with Works Councils in NL 
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation 
  • Strong critical thinking, resourcefulness and agility 
  • Ability to coach, advise or mentor managers/employees to resolve employee concerns.
  • Ability to work proactively to lead and complete projects with competing deadlines and produce accurate work
  • Proficient in English and Dutch
