About the team

Chief of Staff office is a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds, knowledge and expertise that supports engineering organization while growing on a scale. 

We build essential structures and processes on every stage of an engineer 's journey from hiring and onboarding, employee engagement, team health and engineering productivity to team talent development in partnership with other functions such as People organization. We are the main partners of the CTO and engineering leadership team in driving transformation in the engineering organization.

About the role

Miro engineering organization is a diverse, evolving and fast growing unit. We are a team of 500+ plus engineers going through a journey of hypergrowth, structure and process establishment, change management and alignment.

We are looking for a senior executive with strong proficiency in change & transformation and organization development in product and engineering environments to help build and shape Miro engineering organization culture.

What you’ll do

  • Build a capability within Engineering to drive change and achieve greater effectiveness by developing, improving, and reinforcing strategies, structures and processes within an engaging, high energy environment. The goal is to build an organization that can adapt to its needs (agility), is scalable and efficient in its execution
  • Partner with engineering leadership and Miro engineers in building strong engineering culture
  • Help engineering organization live and execute through this culture with the focus on reaching operational excellence (system thinking, flow efficiency, transparency, improve and learn, build people, We are one team)

What you’ll need

  • Strong Engineering management background (the role of Engineering Manager, Head of ) or proven experience knowing and understanding challenges of engineering organizations in the fast growing and changing environment/during hypergrowth
  • Being passionate about product and software development. Being passionate about growing teams
  • Experience in building and driving large scale people programs aimed at building strong engineering culture, improving engineering ways of working, org design, collaboration
  • Experience of large team setups using agile methodologies
  • Experience leading and coaching engineering organizations through change processes, visualizing their core values, and contributing to their identity development
  • Program management experience (planning, prioritization, strong execution)
  • Deep analytical skills: ability to detect gaps in process and dive deep to understand the root cause of a problem
  • Strong communication on all levels (engineers, managers, leadership)
  • Growth mindset
  • Having both technical and business/management backgrounds is a plus
