Copywriter - Growth Marketing (Lifecycle)

About the role

Miro seeks a Copywriter: Growth Marketing (Lifecycle) to craft copy that converts, educates, and encourages our users. In this role, you’ll develop, write, implement, and test lifecycle copy that expresses Miro’s Brand Voice, Style, and Messaging and drives customers to take meaningful action. You’ll use your command of language to amplify the story of Miro — the organization, the product, and the future, where creativity and productivity can succeed, anywhere. As a Miro writer, your work will be seen by millions of people around the world and drive them to use our online whiteboard for visual collaboration. This role reports to the Brand Copy Lead and is located in beautiful Amsterdam.

About the team

The Brand Voice and Copy Team is made up of copywriters and editors who develop, express, and own Miro’s Brand Voice, Style, and Messaging. Our work speaks to users’ real needs and experiences to show how visual collaboration empowers teams to create big things. As cross-functional partners, we work with Brand Studio, Content, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Community, People, and more to tell Miro’s brand story around the world.

Each role at Miro is based at one of our physical hubs and we look for talent who want to be part of these local, collaborative communities. Mironeers work in a hybrid model, with a 3 days a week in-office culture as our baseline.

What you’ll do

  • Write lifecycle marketing copy: email newsletters, nurtures, transactional emails, promotional emails, push notifications, SMS, chatbots, and more
  • Play a proactive role in brainstorming, developing, implementing, and testing lifecycle copy 
  • Understand the metrics that drive our business, and work closely with the Lifecycle Managers to generate hypotheses around how we can experiment with copy
  • Drive effective results, taking a test and learn approach — and articulate rationale behind approaches and their impact
  • Consistently bring Miro’s Brand Voice, Style, and Messaging to life in your writing across a range of formats, helping to further define and broadcast our story
  • Collaborate with writers, art directors, designers, developers, and marketing managers to build creative and strategic assets

What you’ll need

The right person for this job takes initiative and is self-directed, but is also great at collaborating.

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience at a brand, agency, or tech organization (B2B and SAAS a major plus)
  • Strong portfolio of high-performing lifecycle copy 
  • Ability to edit own work and take and incorporate feedback quickly and easily from partners and Brand Copy Lead
  • Strong sense of ownership over own work and ability to prioritize
  • Empathy with readers, customers, and colleagues
