*For reference 20 Shillings is 1 Pound and 12 Pennies is 1 Shilling

The Player starts the game with 6 lives and will be in a static position within a ticket booth and will be approach by customers one after another. When the NPC customer approaches the player next to the booth there will be a speech bubble next to the NPC character presenting various details which the player will have to pay attention to but the bubble will not disappear unless they have moved on to the next NPC character. The details/information that is provided to the player is as follows:

  1. Destination
  2. How many people
  3. What Class service they need

Using these details, the player is able to use all tools provided to give the NPC character the correct result. The player will be provided with an in-game abacus giving the player the ability to do simple calculations. The player will then

  1. Option 1 - See a number board in front of them where the left and right sides both have a lever. The left level will move the 'Shilings' amount and the right level will move the 'penny' amount. Once the player pulls a lever down (depending on which one) the number on the board will start ascending. The longer the player holds each lever the higher the number goes up incrementally after a short dely between each number alternatively the player can click the level once and the number will go up by one (on both sides). The number on Shillings only goes up to 20 and the number on the Pennies only goes up to 12. Once the player is certain that this is the amount the NPC has to pay, the player presses the bell (which is the accept button) to confirm. If incorrect, the player will lose 1 life

  1. Option 2 - The player is able to use either the left or right handed controller to grab a pencil and write the numbers into the correct slot. There are two pieces of paper one for 'Shillings' and the other for 'Pennies'. The player must write the amount for each depending on the credentials presented by the NPC customers. Once written down, the player must tick the box to confirm on each piece of paper, however the player has the option to go back to each piece of paper and change the result. Once both pieces have been accepted and the player is certain this is the correct amount, the player can then press a bell (which is the accept button) to confirm. If incorrect, the player will lose 1 life

After the player has stated the amount, the player must then grab the correct ticket and stamp it to finish with the customer and move on to the next one. The player must first select the ticket and place it in front of the customer, then grab the stamp to stamp the tciket and approve the purchase. If the ticket is incorrect the player will lose 1 life.

Each NPC will stay near the booth when they are being served by the player, however each customer has a timer and are expected to receive the ticket promptly, the player will have at least 80 secs for each customer. This amount will decrease depending with every 3 customers that have been served by 20 secs and cannot decrease below 30 secs. If they player is unable to serve the customer in time they will lose 1 life and then the game will move on to the next customer which the timer will reset back to 80 secs.

During the first playthrough, the timer for customers will stay the same and they will only have 4 customers to deal with. After successfully completing the first playthrough, the player will start with 3 lives and the game will be continuous until the player loses all of their lives. Additionally a counter in the ticket booth will be provided showing the player how many NPC customers they have served.
